ANY QUESTIONS?
WHAT AND WHEN IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
The tribe of founders and owners meets as a group for one half day (3-4 hours) each month. As of now, most tribes meet on Monday afternoons, US Pacific time.
IS IT A WORTHWHILE INVESTMENT?
We're not shy about our commitment or our price, as the return to our members is always greater. Each member commits to showing up, contributing actively, and paying their membership dues. Nearly all members pay their dues through their company, as an investment in their leadership growth. There are no onboarding fees or hidden costs.
IS FOUNDERS@GROWTH COMMITTED TO DIVERSITY?
Absolutely, but it's an uphill battle. In 2018, women-owned firms made up less than 20% of all businesses that employed people in the United States. Founders@Growth has 50-50 targets for representation and, in alignment with our values, subsidizes membership dues in proportion with US wage gaps for women and minorities.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME A MEMBER?
To become a member, you must be a founder or owner of a small business with positive and growing revenue, complete an assessment interview, sign a commitment to our core values (humility, authenticity, respect, and diversity), and be voted in by the standing group. All industries, ages, and backgrounds may apply.
I DON'T MEET ONE OR MORE OF THE PREREQUISITES, CAN I STILL APPLY?
Regrettably no. The journey of a owning and growing a business is unique and we honor that in our selectivity. Feel free to inquire about other programs.
I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Because there is a maximum of 10 members per tribe at any one time, it can take time to select, fill, and backfill the community. As of now, wait time for successful applicants is less than three months.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
You can elect to withdraw your membership at any time and for any reason, at no charge. In honoring the spirit of community, membership is automatically revoked after three consecutive absences or a historic attendance of less than 50%. Reapplicants will not be given preference or penalty on the waitlist.
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?
To learn more about the program, follow the links above or here to book time with Jason, lead facilitator of the tribes. There is no obligation or expectation, but you may be invited to attend a session for free as a provisional member, pending mutual interest.
