A LITTLE ABOUT MY COACHING

YOU HAVE THE ANSWERS

I bring a background in leadership across many industries and functions, but nobody knows what you do as well as you do. My coaching focuses on you as a whole person, and I fundamentally believe that you have the answers. Our time will be spent on deepening awareness, finding new perspectives, and questioning assumptions.

TOGETHER ON THE JOURNEY

Although you have all the answers, you don't have to discover them on your own. I coach from a balance of championing and challenging. Nobody believes in my clients as much as I do. I support and encourage you. And nobody pushes my clients like I do. I call you on your BS and challenge your self-limiting beliefs.

CLIMB HIGHER THAN EVER

Much like climbing a mountain, your goals and dreams take work. It takes preparation, planning, and the right equipment to climb higher than you've climbed before. My coaching is built on outcomes, not frameworks. I'm here to work with you, help keep you accountable, and unlock tangible, practical results.

A LITTLE ABOUT MY JOURNEY

I was raised in a small wheat farming community, 40 minutes from the nearest stoplight. The first real challenge to my perspective and worldview came at the age of 17, when I enlisted in the US Army. I had a long, 15-year career as an infantryman and intelligence officer, deploying to Iraq as a team leader and to Afghanistan as an advisor. It was a deep education in leadership, grit, and my own values.

I was fortunate to do some of my military service part-time. In the gaps I completed college at the University of Michigan and found my second career as a management consultant, working for Booz Allen Hamilton. I loved working with smart people on complex problems, and I received my MBA from Yale in an effort to expand my horizons on that path. Once done with my education, I found a home at McKinsey & Company, where my professional growth continued.

After working as a manager at McKinsey for several years, it was time for me to focus on my personal growth. I was hungry for more connection and community, more meaning in my work. I found executive coaching as my life's passion and never looked back. I'm now an ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC), their highest certification, and have been recognized by the Coach Foundation as a top executive coach. As a divorced father of two children, this life also lets me better focus on my family and invest into my own passions. When I'm not coaching, you can find me writing on topics of leadership, tinkering with startups, planning my next adventure outdoors or abroad, or recording indie folk music.
